The staff app
What your staff see, and how they sign in without a password.
Your staff use ScheduleSolve in the browser on their phone or computer. There is nothing to install. Phone apps for iPhone and Android are coming soon.
How staff get in
- You invite them from the People page.
- They open the email and press Join.
- Next time, they type their email and get a 6-digit code. No password.
Tell staff to add the page to their home screen, so it opens like an app.
What staff see
| Tab | What it shows |
|---|---|
| My shifts | The shifts they were told about, week by week, and their next shift. Who works with them shows only when you allow it for their team. |
| Requests | Ask for time off, say when they can't work, report sick, swap or give away a shift. A request that still waits can be cancelled, with Undo. |
| Open shifts | Shifts they can pick up, including shifts colleagues give away. Only shifts they can work show here. |
| Updates | Every change to their shifts, and answers to their requests. |
Staff see a schedule only after you post it. If you change a posted schedule, they see the change after you press Tell them.
Tell your manager, in their own words
Staff can type a message such as "I can't work next Friday". ScheduleSolve turns it into a request (time off, a day they can't work, or a swap) and shows it to them to check before it goes to you.
Preferences
- When you can't work: days or shifts they cannot work ("I can't work", for real limits such as school or another job) or would rather not work ("I'd rather not work", a wish). The next schedule follows them when it can. A "can't work" may need your OK.
- Notifications: which updates they get on this phone or computer. Press Turn on notifications on the Updates tab first.
- Quiet hours: notifications wait until they end, except a change to a shift that starts soon.
- Calendar: their posted shifts and approved time off in Apple or Google Calendar. "Make a new link" stops the old one.
